A new report was just released that names Encinitas as the the most profitable place in the country to have owned a home over the past 20 years. According to a study just published by GOBankingRates, using data collected by Zillow on median home prices, those who purchased homes in 1998 in Encinitas will make the most profit on a sale now – an average of $1.2 million.
Those of us who live in or near Encinitas know that it is quite possibly the best place to live, so this may come as no surprise to many locals. With beautiful weather pretty much all year round (the average is 72 degrees), gorgeous beaches, wonderful restaurants and shopping, and close proximity to everything in San Diego, Encinitas definitely has a great vibe… and despite it’s surfer town image, it offers so much more than great waves.
If you have never visited Encinitas, you are missing out. Located in North San Diego, there is much to do and see here, or simply enjoy doing nothing at all other than sitting on the beach or catching some waves. Be sure to check out Moonlight and Swamis Beaches, The Self Realization Fellowship Gardens, San Diego Botanical Gardens, San Elijo Lagoon trails, downtown Encinitas (great eats and shopping), the weekend Seaside Bazaar, the Cardiff beach area, and the abundance of fitness options and yoga studios all around town.
Home styles range from apartments to estates and beach front property, with everything in between, in various price ranges and styles. Communities also vary immensely, from downtown to Olivenhain, Leucadia, Cardiff by the Sea, Encinitas Ranch, and many other neighborhoods. There is something for everyone but prices can be higher compared to other areas not in such close proximity to the beach.
Encinitas is definitely a wonderful place to live! If you would like more information on visiting or moving to Encinitas, we are happy to help.
